After eating delicious Korean food at H Mart, Bomi, Romy, Rhea and I headed over to get dessert at Franklin Fountain. When we got out of the train station, we were greeted by a long collection of shops that I got distracted by and begged everyone to follow along with me to explore before heading over to Franklin Fountain.
Nudy’s Cafe
I got an email from Yelp (from that one time I ordered Tiffin via Yelp and I guess I ended up subscribing to their newsletter but I like food so whatever) announcing a new cafe in town, so I grabbed a friend last weekend and went.
Bluestone Lane
I’ve already told you guys about my Memorial Day Weekend over at Jennifer‘s apartment, but let’s throw it back to the first time I properly hung out with Jennifer. I’d already known of Jennifer because I followed her photography on Tumblr, though I don’t know if she knew I did, and I’d also seen her photos on Facebook when she tagged our mutual friends in them, but the two of us, me and her, were never introduced, so I just admired her photography from a distance.
Oh how the times have changed. Today she’s sharing her photography with us here on the blog (with some of mine thrown in too) from that time we brunched at Bluestone Lane together with Victoria over spring break!
Green Engine Coffee
I wanted to catch Ariane before she left to study abroad for the Spring 2016 semester, so we found an afternoon to hang out at Green Engine Coffee. It’s on the Blue Bus route (between Bryn Mawr and Haverford Colleges), which I traverse several times a day (because I’m a Bryn Mawr student majoring at Haverford). Each time we passed by, I’d peek through the windows, tantalized by the gorgeous aesthetics. It’s thee place to get your quintessential Instagram cafe shot.
Sabrina’s Cafe
During the school year, I usually just stick between the towns of Bryn Mawr, Haverford, and Ardmore. I’ve frequented Starbucks, Hothouse Coffee, Green Engine Coffee, and Saxby’s Coffee, which are all the nearby coffee shops. But just one town beyond that is Wynnewood. It really isn’t as far as I think, so I don’t know why it never occurred to me before now to head over there whenever I start to feel like the town is getting too small.
Bomi and I had been wanting to go to a cafe together for awhile, to Green Eggs Cafe for their red velvet pancakes specifically (which are thee thing to [Insta]gram), but it’s not the most convenient place to get to (as in it’s not a close walk from a SEPTA station and we’re too lazy to walk any further), and it’s usually quite busy and crowded. Nevertheless, we were determined to go to some cafe, so we did a quick Google search and decided to check out Sabrina’s Cafe in Wynnewood.
United by Blue – warehouse sale!
The store was pretty chaotic and there were boxes and clothes everywhere, but I scored the three tops pictured above. I’m really proud of how much money I saved (though one could argue (my parents would probably argue) that I’d save the most money if I didn’t buy anything at all…). The original prices are quite expensive and admittedly, I probably wouldn’t by anything there full price with my college student budget, but it’s for a good cause. United by Blue promises that for every product sold, United by Blue removes one pound of trash from our world’s oceans and waterways.
