With nothing on my schedule this week except for studying, I’m feeling comfortable, chill even. But I gotta keep up the intensity and make sure that I don’t forget to turn everything in before winter break starts on Friday! My motto of the week has to be DELAYED GRATIFICATION. In other news, I started and finished the new season of Gilmore Girls on Saturday. #teamJess
- I was having a miserable Tuesday that was only amplified by the terrible weather and seriously contemplated skipping all three of my classes on Wednesday, but I woke up on Wednesday morning and went to all of my classes, so I’m proud of myself. And now I’m done with all my classes this semester! (Just got finals to go…)
- There was a CD I bought over summer break that I misplaced when I got back from vacation and thought that I had lost and I was devastated because this was a DVD from an independent artist who had probably burned this CD himself, so it’s not like I could have found it online, but I found it! I don’t have a CD/DVD player though, so I’m gonna have to figure that out.
- Btw, the independent artist I’m talking about is the Kazanskie Brothers. It’s because I finally got around to drafting my post on Venice that I decided to give another go at trying to find the DVD, which I bought from them while they were busking in Venice. I also have my Florence post drafted and ready to go. Both are scheduled to be posted in mid-January because I already have posts scheduled until then lol. So look out for those!
- Kat made me hot chocolate with real chocolate! I’m spoilt :’)
- My supervisor for my summer job sent me an email this past weekend saying that the website I redesigned finally went up! (I think you can only view it when connected on the school network though.)
- Kat and I hosted a Secret Santa party at our apartment this past weekend and it was so much fun! And since we hosted, that means we got to keep all the leftover food too hehe.
- Overheard at Starbucks: “Excuse me! Beep beep!” –adorable child.
- Professors who reply to emails in a timely manner.
- I finally got to try IHOP’s dark chocolate peppermint pancakes! Kat and I were walking back to the apartment after a productive day at Starbucks, but it was really cold out so we made a pitstop at IHOP for dinner. I’ve been eyeing their dark chocolate peppermint pancakes for forever! I love dark chocolate peppermint. The only thing I ever order at Starbucks during the holiday season is peppermint hot chocolate (which is so much better than the peppermint mocha imho!).
- Trader Joe’s dark chocolate mini stars, and just Trader Joe’s in general for all their festive foods.
- Currently listening to Winter Moon by Mindy Gledhill.
What was the highlight of your week?
I want to make an effort to remember the little joys in life, so my 52 week challenge for 2016 is to write weekly Happy Lists.
