These are terrible photos that I don’t think I can even pass off as #grunge, I don’t have anything #deep to say about them, and there wasn’t even a distinct chronology to the party that I could walk you through, but it was a happy night between friends that I don’t want to forget. So here is a post for me.
While planning for the party, I had imagined something totally blogger chic, and maybe you, seeing the title of this post, might have imagined the same. How often do I get to host a party after all? But this night was just the simple stuff. Nothing extravagant. Very college. And very special to me.
While waiting for dinner delivery to arrive, we hung out on the floor around my tiny coffee table, jammed on my guitar and ukulele, snacked on chips and chocolate, and sipped on apple cider with varying degrees of cinnamon “flavouring.”
Perhaps we went a little overboard with the snacking and drinking, but if there was ever an occasion to indulge, it would be for a festive party. After stuffing ourselves with snacks and Indian food, it was time for Secret Santa! Julia recorded the whole thing but there was a mishap in the middle of the video in which someone zoomed up a little too close to someone’s face (of course this would happen), so the video’s gonna have to stay offline. There were so many sweet and funny moments in there that I will cherish forever!
I think I almost like gag gifts more than I like actual gifts. There’s nothing more intimate than an inside joke!
It was lit.
