This is not the kind of blog post I usually write, but I’m just putting it here to shame myself for spending money. I have this thing where I need to explain to people what I buy so that I can validate my choices. Usually I’m not a shopper, online or offline, but once I buy one thing, the momentum just keeps building. I might write another post like this for all the new furniture I bought for my new apartment hmm…
Abercrombie & Fitch corduroy pinafore dress in dark green // I don’t own any pinafores or overalls, so I’ve been wanting to add one to my wardrobe. They seem like fun, and easy to switch up underneath with anything from tight crops to long tees. Usually I don’t go for green, dark or otherwise, but this colour seemed special yet neutral enough to coordinate with a variety of colours.
Abercrombie & Fitch ribbed dolman sweater in grey // I really like the ribbed texture and I don’t own many long sleeves. I like the loose fit, which looks comfy, but still retains an air of smart casual.
Abercrombie & Fitch high rise straight girlfriend jeans // I always need pants, but I feel like I never see anything but skinny jeans or super trendy pants. Skinny jeans feel too restrictive to me, and super trendy pants aren’t casual enough for my lifestyle. Since I don’t own any distressed denim, this pair seemed like a good one to add to my wardrobe. It’s been awhile since I’ve shopped A&F, online or offline, but I remember that their jeans are soft.
Topshop v-neck tee in light grey // Basics are always good. I like the loose fit. And surprisingly, I don’t think I have any v-necks in my wardrobe right now.
June & Hudson knot front tee in olive // A fun twist. hehe. Not something as simple as I’m used to wearing, but probably still simple by most people’s standards, so I’m willing and curious to try it out. This is part of my endeavor to look like I’m put together and have some style but really all I’m doing is throwing on a tee.
BP cross hem rib knit tee in black // Again, I’m loving the ribbed texture, and the cross hem gives it another special something. Simple but sophisticated, or at least so I’d like to think. I’m not totally comfortable wearing crops, so I’m hoping it won’t reveal too much in the front, but worst case scenario, I can just cover it up with my new A&F pinafore.
Topshop distressed edge tee in mauve // Such a pretty colour! I want my hair to be that colour. But I won’t do that because I don’t want my hair to die and normally I wouldn’t care but now I live in my own apartment and I need to clean my bathroom by myself and deal with hair falling out of my head. Anyways, I hope the tee is really soft!
Did you do any shopping over Labor Day weekend?
