I’m back in Philly and today I’m picking up my keys for my new apartment! In fact, I’ll probably be inspecting the apartment and signing the lease when this post goes live. I’m not sure when I’m gonna start actually moving in since it’s totally bare, but I’ll start with moving my summer storage boxes in. This coming week will probably be filled with trips to Ikea. I’m so excited!
- I just got back from Berlin! I could easily write a whole Happy List just on Berlin, but I want to give it its own post, so you’re gonna have to do with these snapshots from my Instagram for now.
- I flew with Delta from Paris (layover) to Philly, and they offer the best entertainment; I finally watched and finished the last season of Downton Abbey! (Yes, all nine episodes in one flight.) The last episode ended and the credits started rolling just as the wheels hit the ground. Also, I finally watched Deadpool and Zootopia when I flew to Rome with Delta.
I’ve been eyeing Madewell’s morningside shirt for maybe two months. I didn’t buy it because it was $59.50, but I kept thinking about it and loving it from a distance, so I decided to go back and get it, whether or not it was on sale. But when I went back to the store in my town, it was sold out, and it was sold out online too! They said it might be in stock at another store in the city, so a few days later I actually went over to check it out, but they didn’t have any in stock either. So I’ve been living in regret about not buying that shirt. But on Sunday I randomly checked Madewell’s website again and… it’s back in stock! on sale! I’m getting it delivered to my new address :3
**okay so I was really dumb and I added this to my Happy List as soon as I saw the shirt available online, which meant I typed it up before I actually purchased the shirt. I was planning to check out the Madewell store next door when it opened at noon before buying the shirt online, but when I refreshed it just an hour or so before noon, the shirt was sold out again! Completely heart broken… This has been my lesson to carpe diem**- I’ve been awarded the superlative of the person who’d “survive on a deserted island the longest because of my impressive skills at rationing coconuts,” kindly given to me by Julia and Victoria. How did our conversation evolve into this? Wouldn’t you like to know ;P Julia moved into our summer apartment on Saturday and is staying for the week because campus housing has since kicked everyone out, and Victoria got back from visiting our dear friend Georgina in NYC on Sunday. Europe has been good, but I’m so glad to have these two gals with me back in Philly!

Sorry for the shorter post this week. Saving it up for my Berlin post!
What was the highlight of your week?
I want to make an effort to remember the little joys in life, so my 52 week challenge for 2016 is to write weekly Happy Lists.
